With the current turmoil in the Public Services, and particularly in the Passports Offices in Dublin and Cork, it is advised that you check the expiry date on your passport NOW. Do not leave it until you are about to leave, because with the current go slow at the Passport Offices, you may not be able to take your well deserved break.

We had a very unfortunate case yesterday with a family travelling to Disneyland Paris and due to their oversight regarding one of their passports, were unable to travel. Their pleas with the officials fell on deaf ears, even though they made an appointment to attend the Passport Office in Dublin.

So take this as a warning – check your passports as you WILL NOT be covered by any insurance policy..!!

It is very important to ensure that you have an adequate insurance policy when you are booking any type of travel. Being properly insured will probably be the best decision that you will make when planning your next trip. Buying travel insurance is hassle-free (in 99% of cases) and you can opt to have a single policy, an annual policy, a family policy etc…
During these recessionary times, it would also be very important to consider having cover in the event of being made redundant.
